The Wood River Post 314 Seniors baseball team went through a rough stretch over the past week, dropping three games. The Seniors opened the week on Tuesday, July 15, with a 17-11 loss to the Doniphan/ Trumbull/Giltner Post 300 Seniors. The Ord Post 38 Seniors won a close game over Wood River, 8-4, on Thursday, July 17, and the St. Paul Post 119 squad topped Wood River 16-1 on Monday, July 21.

Halyx Dorsey proudly represented the Gibbon FBLA Chapter by competing in the Exploring Computer Science event at the 2025 FBLA National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, California, from June 27 to July 3.
The Dannebrog/Cairo/Boelus (DCB) Pony team won the Lou-Platte Pony Tournament held in Gibbon on Wednesday, July 2. DCB made it to the championship game by defeating Loup City, 11-8; Central Valley/Palmer, 24-9; and Gibbon, 8-5. DCB then faced Ravenna in the championship game and won by a score of 11-2.
