Gibbon Mock Trial began their competition season on Thursday, October 16, with a win against Doniphan/Trumbull Team Number One at the Hall County Courthouse in Grand Island.
A dual against Cross County and the Twin Valley Conference Tournament dotted the schedule for the Shelton ladies in recent volleyball action.
Both senior Giovanny Hernandez and junior Kaleigh Pracht turned in times at the Class C4 District cross country meet on Wednesday, October 15, that qualified them to race against the best of the best cross country runners at the NSAA Cross Country Championships in Kearney.
The Gibbon Lady Buffaloes battled the Wood River Lady Eagles and the Ravenna Lady Bluejays in the LouPlatte Conference Tournament held last week.
Wood River’s Hector Bonilla and Yanathan Perez raced to top five finishes at the Class D4 district cross country meet held at Camp Kitari near McCool Junction on Thursday, October 16, to qualify to run at the state meet this week. As a team, the Eagle boys placed fourth with 33 team points. Doniphan/ Trumbull was district champion with 14 team points.
