The Wood River Rural High School one act play cast and crew are in the midst of performing “Holmes on the Range,” by Craig Sodaro and directed by Abby Parlin and Lacey Woody. The first competitive performance was on Monday, November 3, at Ord High School.
“Any Body for Tea?” will be presented by the Gibbon High School one act play cast and crew beginning at the North Platte Invitational this Saturday, November 8.
After holding Fremont Bergan Catholic to seven points in the first quarter, Wood River’s Eagle football team was unable to hold back big second and third quarters for the Knights and suffered a 0-61 shut out in the Class C2 playoffs on Friday, October 31, in Fremont.

The American FFA Degree is bestowed upon a select group of students in recognition of their years of academic and professional excellence. This year over 5,200 American Degrees were awarded. Callee Carman, a member of the Shelton FFA Chapter, was awarded the American FFA Degree at the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Carman is a 2024 Shelton High School graduate and the daughter of Jesse and Abby Carman.
