Long-time Shelton Public School high school physical education P.E. teacher Amanda Thober was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award on Sunday, November 2, at the SHAPE Nebraska Awards Banquet held at the Kearney Holiday Inn.
“The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” by Don Zolidis, was the one act play chosen to be performed at Shelton High School this year. The play will be directed by Alice Rabbe.
Jocelyn Rauert and Tommy Childers were married Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Third City Christian Church in Grand Island. Senior Pastor Dan Walter officiated.
After an amazing season, the Shelton Lady Bulldog volleyball season came to an end competing at the Class D1 State Volleyball Tournament held in Lincoln Thursday, November 6, through Saturday, November 8, finishing in fourth place.
Shelton’s Lady Bulldog volleyball team swept through their subdistrict and district opponents with a workman-like efficiency last week to come away with a district championship and a state tournament berth when the dust had settled.
