The Wood River boys basketball team finished 1-1 after battling Sandy Creek on the road and Centura in Wood River, respectively, in the first two games of the new season on Thursday and Saturday, December 4 and 6. The Eagles were bested by Sandy Creek in the season opener, 42-69, but snuck past LouPlatte Conference rival Centura, 42-38.
The 2025-26 season for the Lady Eagle wrestling team got off to a great start with a home dual win over Aurora last Thursday, December 4, and a top ten finish at the 22 team Doane Invite on Friday, December 5.
