The regular monthly meeting of the Gibbon Board of Education was held on Tuesday, April 14, saw the board consider the amended 2026-27 calendar and a contract for the SPED/Early Childhood position. The board reviewed the dress code policy and twentyseven policies that had been previously discussed during the Committee of the Whole meeting prior to the meeting.
The Shelton Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 13, and, among the many agenda items, tackled renewal of teaching and certified staff contracts and graphics on the gym floor and heard the monthly administrative reports.
Community attends groundbreaking ceremony Saturday
Roughly fifty people were on hand on Tuesday, April 7, as the City of Gibbon celebrated its 155th birthday with an Old Settlers Day observance at the Gibbon Heritage Center. The day included the Center being open at 1:00 p.m. for tours, research and connecting with history, and light refreshments.
