The Buffalo/Hall County Corn Growers organization recently made sizable donations to area food banks. Gibbon, Shelton, Wood River, Cairo, and Ravenna food banks were recipients of $2,500.00 from the Corn Growers, and Farm Credit Service added another $500.00 to each, for a total of $3,000.00 for each food bank. A total of $15,000.00 was contributed. The donations were presented during the group’s plot night on August 19.
