Clipper mail delivery improves

For those of us who enjoy turning pages of a newspaper, instead of scrolling or swiping, we have some good news! After a couple of weeks of fine tuning some details, the delivery of the Shelton Clipper has improved for the majority of our subscribers. Most in-state newspapers are now being delivered by Friday, one day after our Thursday publication date. This is an improvement from the four to six days that it was taking for the newspaper to make it through the postal system, before implementing the changes.

Two area newspapers ending publications

The Beacon-Observer, which served the Overton and Elm Creek communities and most of the Fort Kearny Conference schools, will see their final issue roll off of the press this week. Founded in 1899, the newspaper has been a fixture in western Buffalo County and eastern Dawson County for generations, chronicling local life and serving as a vital link between its communities.
