The district’s annual audit was among the highlights of the administrative reports given at the October meeting of the Shelton Board of Education on Monday, October 13.
Kyle Codner was born and raised on a farm in central Nebraska and a graduate of Shelton High School. He joined the United States Marines and was killed in action serving his country in Iraq on May 26, 2004, by a roadside bomb at the age of 19.
Shelton's Food Pantry and After School Backpack Program are replenished thanks to generous residents and volunteers. Alongside Lions Club members, Shelton students collected donations throughout town on Wednesday, October 8, and sorted them for distribution at the Shelton United Methodist Church. Two local medical care providers were recently honored with CHI Hospitals Core Value Awards for their work with patients and staff at their respective offices. Andrea Johnson and Chelsie Doane, both of Wood River, were selected among hundreds of CHI employees in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota during National Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Week.
