Eagle boys dash to third at LPC meet

“The success continues for our cross country team,” said Wood River cross country head coach Matt Cantrell of the LouPlatte Conference meet held at Gibbon Valley View Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday, October 7. “For the first time since 2008, we took home a team award for our third-place boys finish.” The Eagles finished the day with 32 team points for the third place finish. The Doniphan/Trumbull boys came away with the conference championship with 13 team points.

Rasmussen crowned homecoming queen, Ramirez Laguna king at Centura

Homecoming Week was celebrated Monday, September 29, through Saturday, October 4, at Centura High School. The royalty was announced at the halftime of the football game on Friday, October 3, with the crowning taking place at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday. The court included, left to right, Ella Simons, Lauren Suntych, Jalee Lewandowski, Emma Jacobs, Queen Ella Rasmussen, King Daniel Ramirez Laguna, Gavin Whitefoot, Brooks Hadenfeldt, Mason Janda, and Carson Harder.
