On Tuesday, September 16, the Wood River Lady Eagle volleyball team hosted Broken Bow and Grand Island Central Catholic (GICC) in a triangular before travelling to Central City on Saturday, September 20, for an invite.
The long trip north to Valentine for the Gibbon football team on Friday, September 12, was made longer on the trip home as the Buffaloes fell victim to the home field Badgers, 0-42.

The Gibbon Lady Buffalo volleyball team hosted the Harvard Cardinals on Tuesday, September 9, and came away with a win. It was back and forth throughout the five sets, but the Lady Buffs held on for their first win of the season, 25-13, 16-25, 26-24, 22-25, and 15-11.
Last week volleyball action started off with a bang for the Shelton Lady Bulldogs as they travelled to Minden to take on the Class C-1 undefeated Lady Whippets and came home with a win via a classic reverse sweep. Minden won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-23, but Shelton came back in the final three matches, 2519, 25-21 and 15-10, to bring home the win.
