The schedule for the Gibbon girls golf team last week included trips to the Ravenna Invitational at the Ravenna Golf Course on Tuesday, September 30, and the Centura Invitational on Thursday, October 2, at Centura Hills Golf Course.
Hector Bonilla led the way for the Wood River boys cross country team as the sole medal winner at the University of Nebraska (UNK) Invitational on Monday, September 29, where as a team, the Eagles placed ninth with 127 team points out of 50 competing teams, according to head coach Matt Cantrell.
The Shelton football team improved to 2-2 on the season by outlasting Ansley/Litchfield, 36-25, on the field in Shelton on Thursday, September 25.
Two triangulars on the road occupied the Shelton High volleyball team last week. On Tuesday, September 23, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Loup City where they took on the Arcadia/Loup City Lady Rebels and the Gibbon Lady Buffaloes, handing them both losses in two sets.
Wood River’s girls golf team took to the links at the Gibbon Scramble at Valley View Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday, September 23, and the Lou-Platte Conference meet, held at Centura Hills Golf Course on Friday, September 26, in golf action last week.
