Southern Valley and Ravenna fell to the Gibbon boys basketball team last week in a big way. The Southern Valley Eagles went down to defeat when the Buffaloes came calling on Tuesday, February 8, 41-70. The Buffaloes crushed Ravenna two days later, Thursday, February 10, by a 62-37 score.

Gibbon’s wrestling Buffaloes finished the Arcadia/Loup City Duals with three wins and two losses on Friday, February 4, against a tough slate of teams.
The Wood River wrestlers spent Friday, February 4, competing at the Arcadia/ Loup City Duals. “The guys competed hard and we finished with a 2-3 team record, falling just one point short of beating Neligh Oakdale which would have made us 3-2,” reported head coach Darin Waddington. “We were proud of how the boys competed even though we were once again short handed, missing three varsity guys from the lineup due to illness. It’s been a long winter for us and we haven't wrestled a single tournament with our whole line up.”
