Playground open for FUN!

Wood River’s Stick Creek Kids new playground equipment was open for business after a special ribbon cutting ceremony last Wednesday, October 1. Members of the Stick Creek Kids staff, board members, community members and best of all … kids celebrated the event. The new equipment is just east of the existing play area. Below left, Stick Creek Kids board member Blaire Dreessen spoke prior to the ribbon cutting, thanking the many donors and contributors to the project. Shelton Public Library construction projects continuing

Work is continuing at the Shelton Public Library inside and outside as an elevator is being installed inside and a parking project is in the works on the outside. The library is currently closed for safety reasons; however, patrons are still able to access reading materials. See library director Tony Crouse’s column on page 3 for more information. Community Choir looking for members for Christmas performance

The Wood River Area Community Choir is recruiting members for this year’s Christmas performance. Starting its 23rd year in existence, the community choir’s continued success has been the dedication of a nucleus of singers throughout the area who are willing to sacrifice their time to bring quality and enjoyable music to the community.
