Village Board puts options on the ballot for Shelton voters

A resignation on the board and a public hearing on placing two issues on the November general election ballot faced Shelton Village Board of Trustees Chairman Chuck Roe and board members Jeff Oberg and Dave Doremus at the board’s regular monthly meeting on Thursday, August 13. Board member Cliff Keslar was unable to attend the meeting.

Arabella Rolfsmeyer showed her champion ram, which is a babydoll sheep, and a purple ribbon winning market lamb (above) at the recent Buffalo County Fair in Kearney. She is the daughter of Tony and Sarah Roflsmeyer, of Shelton.

Virtual meeting about Lower Wood River Watershed Improvement Project August 18

The Central Platte Natural Resources District (CPNRD) is partnering with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to hold a virtual public meeting regarding the Lower Wood River Watershed Improvement Project Work Plan – Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA). Due to social distancing requirements, the meeting will be held virtually through Zoom on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to watch the live presentation online. The meeting will also be recorded and a link to the recording will be posted on the CPNRD’s website.
