Despite a lengthy looking agenda, the Gibbon City Council worked through a routine set of items at its regular monthly meeting held on Monday, June 21, at city hall.
In conjunction with Gibbon’s 150th anniversary and its Independence Day celebration on Sunday, July 4, a tour of historical buildings in Gibbon will be held for all who are interested. Historical Gibbon booklets will be available, and a tour of the buildings featured in the booklet will depart from the Gibbon Heritage Center beginning at 2:00 p.m. and last until 5:00 p.m.
The Gibbon Heritage Center Board of Directors was voted as the Grand Marshals for the 2021 Gibbon Independence Day parade to be held this Saturday, July 3. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and will follow the same route as it has in past years.
