Gibbon City Council met for its monthly meeting on Monday night, July 19, and worked through a relatively routine summer agenda.
Clipper Country 4-H members in Buffalo and Hall counties exhibited the fruit of their labors at the Buffalo and Hall county fairs in Kearney and Grand Island, respectively, last week. Combining years of experience as an elementary teacher with her love of teaching and helping children learn about sharing God’s love, retired Shelton elementary teacher Lori Glenn has fulfilled a longtime dream, that of authoring a children’s book. “Sparkle Our World” is the culmination of years of making notes, and recently working with a local artist and her publisher to produce an easy to read, colorful, uplifting and inspiring book written for children which can be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
