The Shelton School Board of Education met Monday, June 14. Superintendent Dr. Shanna Gannon briefed the board on multiple topics, including school finance, the hiring of staff, and the annual work of reviewing and approving policies.
As Independence Day grows nearer, so does the complete schedule of activities for the Independence Day celebration with more details being added over the past week.
Water fun, fire truck rides and food will be served up by Shelton’s “Everyday Heroes” this July 4th, highlighting a fun day in Shelton. Once again, Shelton’s day of celebrating our independence will be filled with family fun activities, which begin at 8:00 a.m. with the 12th Annual Shelton Stampede Run/Walk, and culminates with the fireworks show at dusk.

Three grants were approved by the Wood River Community Centennial Foundation (WRCCF) Board of Directors at the board’s recent meeting.
