State honors City of Wood River for generational investments

Collaborative partnerships in the city of Wood River (population 1,420) have solidified opportunities for working families through new daycare, housing, and recreational developments. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) recently announced the city’s recertification in the Leadership Certified Community (LCC) program. DED Central Nebraska Business Development Consultant and LCC Program Director, Kelly Gewecke, recognized local leaders during a special presentation on Tuesday, November 16.

Benefit for Tim Gray is this Saturday at Shelton Legion

A benefit, moved from the Shelton Fire Hall to the Shelton American Legion Hall, is planned this Saturday, December 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Tim Gray, a 2006 graduate of Shelton High School and a 2011 graduate of Wayne State who resides in Lincoln, and was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and pancreatitis with treatments of insulin and dialysis. The benefit is being held to help with medical treatment and costs.
