Students, city council members take part in Community Service Day in Gibbon

Community Service Day was held in Gibbon on Monday, May 4, with students for Gibbon Public School and members of the Gibbon City Council working on various projects throughout the community and doing odd jobs for residents who requested their aid. Some of the projects done by the volunteers included planting nine trees at Rosen Park, painting the deck at Valley View Municipal Golf Course, helping out at Rowe Sanctuary, and helping to plant a plot for the Gibbon Food Pantry at Little Town Gardens. Unofficial tallies for Clipper Country Go Big GIVE nonprofits told

Unofficial results for Clipper Country nonprofits in the 13th Annual Go Big GIVE event held on Thursday, May 7, have been posted. The annual Go Big GIVE campaign brings together local nonprofits and donors for a day of giving in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick counties.

Friday is deadline to purchase tickets for Gibbon’s Alumni Banquet

This year’s Gibbon High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 23, with social hour beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the banquet at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are still available locally at Exchange Bank and Adam’s Corner Market in Gibbon. The deadline to purchase tickets is this Friday, May 15, with no refunds given.
