Wood River’s Carol Turek recently directed a $5,000 Bayer Fund America’s Farmers Grow Communities donation to the Wood River Food Pantry, which will benefit the pantry and its backpack program.
A local combine reaches the end of a row last week as harvest is underway across the state. Recent dry, windy weather allowed producers to get into fields unimpaired to get harvest work started.
