Cargill donates to WRRS science room renovations

Cargill recently made a generous donation in the amount of $20,000 toward the Wood River Rural School science rooms renovation project. Wood River’s Peters, Graves selected as Hugh O’Brian Youth representatives

Macie Peters and Reid Graves were selected as this year’s sophomore representatives from Wood River Rural High School to attended the Nebraska Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar which was held on the campus of Concordia University in Seward June 3 through 5.

Wood River Methodist Church to host bloodmobile Tuesday

Wood River Methodist Church is set to host the Red Cross Bloodmobile next Tuesday, June 14, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. The need for blood remains very urgent and the Red Cross is getting very poor attendance for their bloodmobiles.

Just For Kix competes at Together We Dance Nationals

The Shelton Just For Kix Dance Program competed at the Together We Dance Nationals Competition at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota, May 5 through 8. Teams from seven states (Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska and South Dakota) traveled to compete over the weekend with their team and individual routines.

Pleasant weather enhanced the searchingbrowsing-buying process for those attending citywide garage sales across the community of Gibbon on Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4. Sales dotted streets throughout the community offering items for nearly every taste, some in garages and some in the driveways of garages.
