Another fun packed Independence Day in Shelton is set to explode on Thursday, July 4, as the community celebrates our nation’s independence with the theme, “Family, Friends and Freedom,” and a full slate of family friendly activities scheduled.
Gibbon, the “Smile City,” will celebrate Independence Day 2024 on Thursday, July 4, with the theme “Stars, Stripes and Smiles,” the annual parade through town with Grand Marshal Daralyn Benge, a car show, free swimming, a String Beans concert and a park full of family friendly activities throughout the day.
Wood River’s Maxine Rathman, long-time featured writer in the Wood River Sunbeam and Shelton Clipper of “The Trail They Left Behind, On The Home Front,” passed away Wednesday, June 19. Her column was enjoyed by many throughout the years and The Clipper appreciates her allowing us to publish the history she spent endless hours researching.
