Shelton Hall of Fame group honors newest class of athletes and contributor

The Shelton High School Athletic Hall of Fame and Baseball Hall of Fame honored the newest class last Friday evening, January 30. The Class of 2025 consists of football standout Brad Myers, the 1992-93 state qualifying boys basketball team, athletic and school contributor Doug Duncan, and baseball inductee Nathan Wrage. They were celebrated with an induction ceremony at halftime of the boys basketball game against Blue Hill.

Struggles continue for Buffaloes on the court in three losses last week

The season long struggles continued for the Gibbon boys basketball team last week as they were defeated by three opponents on the hardwood. In a make up game with Centura, which was rescheduled from January 16 and played on Monday, January 26, in Gibbon, Centura outlasted the Buffaloes 55-40. Grand Island Lutheran (GIL) came to Gibbon for a game on Tuesday, January 27, and went home with a 69-35 win over the Buffaloes and the local club travelled to Loomis on Thursday, January 29, where the Wolves turned them away by an 83-43 score.
