The Aksarben Farm Family Award is given to farm families that have continually owned farm property in Nebraska for over 100 years. The awards are sponsored by the Aksarben Foundation and Nebraska Farm Bureau and are given at the county fair in the county where the farm is located.
The west side of Gibbon was a noisy, smoky location full of fun for the large crowd of all ages that attended the annual Gibbon Tractor Pull on Friday, August 1. The Gibbon Tractor Pull Association hosted the annual event that featured Outlaw truck and tractor pullers with nine classes of tractors.
