Wood River dedicates Lincoln Highway sign

Led by Wood River Mayor Greg Cramer (center), a Nebraska Historical Marker dedication was held in the Wood River business district on Friday, May 30. Also attending were Hall County Historical Society President Fred Rosser (left) and Society Vice President Michelle Setlik (right) as well as members of the community. The sign explains that in 1922 the Lincoln Highway, renamed U.S. Highway 30, had been rerouted and at the request of Wood River businesses, was moved from the originally planned path through town on Eleventh Street to one block south of Ninth Street.
