The Go Big GIVE 24-hour, online event organized by the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation and Heartland United Way is set to be held next Thursday, May 1, for nonprofits in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick counties.
The Hall County Historical Society (HCHS) is proud to announce the dedication of a new Nebraska State Historical Marker at Cairo this Sunday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. The dedication ceremony will take place at the marker site on U.S. Highway 11, next to the Cairo ballfields.
Gibbon’s Davis Park was the site of the annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Gibbon American Legion Bradley Buck Post #310 on Saturday, April 19. A swarm of eager hunters descended on the candy spread throughout the northeast corner of the park, picking it clean of candy and goodies in mere minutes. Mother Nature cooperated with the hunt by providing some sunshine for the hunters. (–photo by Steve Glenn)
