The Wood River Methodist Church is sponsoring a Red Cross Bloodmobile at the Wood River Community Center next Wednesday, February 11, running from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Platelets and double donations will be accepted.

The Shelton High School Athletic and Baseball Hall of Fame inductions were held last Friday, January 30, at the Shelton school, honoring three individuals and one team. Above, Tory Duncan accepts the plaque for his father Doug, who was inducted as a contributor to Shelton athletics for over 25 years serving the school district and community. Wood River eighth grader Kendall Rennau turned in a third place finish at the Wood River School hosted Hall County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 20. This year’s contest was an oral contest only. No written contest was held.
Dr. Tommy Downey recently joined the staff at the Gibbon Family Dental Clinic in downtown Gibbon. She is working along with Dr. Jason Hermann, serving the Gibbon area from their office at 812 First Street in Gibbon.
