On Thursday, August 21, the Wood River girls golf team opened their season by teeing off at the Central City Scramble.

Gibbon Public School welcomed seven new staff members for the 2024-25 school year. Breanna Rose, Haleigh Smith, Meredith McQuay, Josh Williams, Helen Bender, Amber McKay and Karen Williams greeted students when classes began last week.
The Wood River girls and boys cross country teams will soon take to the course to begin the season, the girls with their first full scoring team since 2022 and the boys team with a shot to qualify for the state meet as a team since 2003, depending on the district they are in, according to fourth year head coach Matt Cantrell.
