The Shelton cross country teams journeyed west to the Gibbon Invitational on Thursday, September 5. The Bulldog boys finished in fifth place with 86 points. Bertrand/Loomis won the boys side of the meet with 47 points. Laurynn Andrews was the lone Lady Bulldog running at Gibbon and therefore there was no girls team score.
Wood River’s cross country teams made their way to the Gibbon Invitational on Thursday, September 5, where the boys finished in seventh place with 94 points. Bertrand/Loomis won the meet with 47 points. The Wood River girls team did not have a team score.
Shelton’s Lady Bulldog netters competed in a dual and a quad on the road last week in volleyball action, emerging unscathed in each contest.
Despite piling up a substantially larger number of offensive yards than their opponent and scoring the only points of the fourth quarter, the Gibbon football team came up just shy of a win, 14-16, on the road at Cross County on Friday, September 6.
The Wood River girls golf team continued their season as they competed in a five team tournament at the St. Paul Country Club in St. Paul on Thursday, September 5.
