Wood River girls wrestling team places fourth at NSWCA duals, repeat as conference champs

After a fourth place finish at the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coach’s Association (NSWCA) Class B State Dual Invitational at Norfolk on Friday, January 23, the Wood River Lady Eagle wrestling team battled to a third consecutive LouPlatte Conference Championship at the conference meet held at Ravenna on Saturday, January 24.

Buffs fall victim to Broncos, Cards

The Amherst Broncos and Doniphan/Trumbull Cardinals proved too much for the Gibbon boys basketball team last week in basketball action. The Gibbon boys traveled to Amherst on Thursday, January 22, where they were sent home with a 24-65 loss. The following night on the hardwood in Gibbon, Doniphan/Trumbull got past the Buffaloes with a resounding 71-28 final tally.
