Gibbon FBLA attends State Leadership Conference

The annual Honor Awards Night was held at Wood River Rural High School on Tuesday, May 3. Among the many awards and certificates handed out were the Top Ten Certificates to members of the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes (pictured below).
On Friday, April 22, music students from Shelton Public School made their way to Wood River High School for the district music contest and had a productive day, bringing home a number of awards.
The Shelton High School National Honor Society inducted four new members during their induction ceremony held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the school. NHS President Carrie Gangwish gave the welcome and then presented the new members. An explanation of the Emblem and the Cardinal Principals of the National Honor Society were read by current members of the Shelton National Honor Society and then the new members recited the NHS Pledge. A reception followed in the library for all new and current members, their parents, guests, and the faculty. New inductees were, seated, left to right, sophomore Addison Burr, juniors Dru Niemack and Emmilly Berglund, and senior Breanna Plihal. Current members are, back row, left to right, senior Steven Snyder and Brianna Simmons, junior MaKenna Willis, and seniors Taylor Lewis, Jaylea Pope, Samantha Snyder, Carrie Gangwish, and Noah Summers. Not pictured is member Skyler Summers, a junior.
Grandparents Day was held at Wood River Elementary on the afternoon of Friday, April 22, and began with a welcome in the gym by the students (above). The day included visiting grandchildren’s classrooms to see what students have been up to this year and projects for both students and grandparents to do (left). (–photos by Steve Glenn)
