Lady Bulldogs look to continue the program success

Coming off of a 29-3 season last year and with the loss of only two seniors, the Lady Bulldogs look to continue to dominate this season. The 2022 season roster will include seniors Dru Niemack, MaKenna Willis, Sidney Gegg, Alia Gomez, Halie Clark, Emmilly Berglund and Jett Johnson; juniors Addison Burr and Callee Carman; sophomores Justine Pope and Kaycee Tompkin; and freshmen Erin Gegg, Jalyn Branson, Macy Willis, Susanna Cheney and Emily Wiehn.

Wood River Elementary receives grant for playground project

The Wood River Elementary Accessible Playground Project recently received a $10,000 grant from the Bud and Gloria Wolbach Charitable Foundation. Funds will be used to help renovate the playground to make it accessible to all students. Snyder earns American FFA Degree

Snyder earns American FFA Degree

Shelton FFA alumni member Jacob Snyder recently earned his American FFA Degree. The American FFA Degree is the highest award available to FFA members, only 0.01% of members earn this award. Jacob is the first member to earn this award since the restart of the Shelton FFA chapter in 2016! All recipients will officially receive their degree and gold key for their FFA jacket during the 2022 National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Only six Shelton FFA members earned this degree from 1963-1972 before the chapter was disbanded. Those members were, Milton Ahrens, 1963; Darrell Quaring, 1966; Ronnie Prochaska, 1967; J. Scott Harris, 1970; Donald Gilliland, 1970; and Arlen Gangwish (Wood River), 1972. Snyder is a 2021 Shelton High School graduate.
