After being quiet for 2 1⁄2 years because of COVID 19, the Wood River Area Community Choir will start its 19th year. Its continued success has been the dedication of a nucleus of singers throughout the area who are willing to sacrifice their time to bring quality and enjoyable music to the surrounding area. The choir is under the direction of Vincent Boudreau.
Wood River’s Lady Eagle volleyball team battled through an extraordinarily busy week last week as they took on Central City on Tuesday, September 6, were part of a triangular at Centura, which included Ord on Thursday, September 8, and then spent Saturday, September 10, at the Elm Creek Tournament, which included teams from Southern Valley and Pleasanton.
Hershey was no match for the Centura football team as the Centurions rolled past the Panthers, 35-0, on Friday, September 9.
On Tuesday, September 6, Shelton hosted the C-1 foes of Minden.
