Entering their third year of selling fresh vegetables and flowers, David and Candi Benge are enjoying their ongoing venture into growing beautiful flowers and fresh, delicious vegetables for area customers on their farm at 11464 Pawnee Road, two miles north of Gibbon.
The City of Wood River received a $15,000 check recently from the Bank On Nebraska Strong fund. Jim Rennau and Sara Arnett, of Heritage Bank in Wood River, presented the check to Greg Cramer, Mayor of the City of Wood River, and Elizabeth Troyer-Miller, Disaster Recovery Coordinator, Heartland Disaster Recovery Group.

The Shelton School Board met Monday, April 12, and worked through a short agenda which included accepting the resignation of two staff members, the purchase of new band uniforms, and approving a HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) project.
Devin Jepson and Sage Gideon were crowned Wood River Rural High Prom King and Queen on Saturday, April 17, at Babels Barn.
