Even recent “despicable” cold and snowy weather has been unable to keep this contingent of Minions from spreading holiday joy to passers-by. Those hoping to see a white Christmas next week may or may not get their wish as two weather systems moved through the region in the past several days covering everything in several inches of the white stuff. Six Gibbon area non-profits took part in the 2020 Kearney Area Community Foundation’s Give Where You Live Day of Giving, held on Thursday, December 3, where a total of one hundred seventy-seven non-profits took part in the event overall, receiving 6,353 donations and raising $1,315,316, an increase of 9.3% from the $1,203,453 raised in 2019, according to Kearney Community Foundation President/CEO Judy Sickler.

The Kids and Dreams Foundation led the field of fifteen Shelton non-profits that took part on the Kearney Area Community Foundation’s Give Where You Live Day of Giving held on Thursday, December 3. One hundred seventyseven non-profits took part in the event overall, receiving 6,353 donations and raising $1,315,316, an increase of 9.3% from the $1,203,453 raised in 2019, according to Kearney Community Foundation President/CEO Judy Sickler. The number of donations also increased to 6,353 this year, compared to 5,603 in 2019.
