Historic Gibbon

On display at the Gibbon Heritage Center is the brass/nickle plated cash register once used by S. A. A. Walker, the father of Leroy Walker, both of whom operated Walker Hardware in Gibbon for many years. The register is a 1913 National Cash Register model with one full drawer and two one-half drawers. The register was loaned to the Gibbon Heritage Center in the 1980s. Walker Hardware closed in 2003. (–photo by Dennis Walker)
