On Tuesday, August 9, The Wall That Heals, containing 58,000-plus names of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War, along with a multi-media educational component, will be arriving at Patriot Park in Kearney and will be escorted by Patriot Motorcycle Riders.
The Gibbon Tractor Pull Association will present the annual Gibbon Tractor Pull on Friday, August 5, this year with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and the first pull at 7:00 p.m. on the west edge of Gibbon.
The Lincoln Highway Festival and Car Show is set to return to the bricks on north C Street in Shelton this Sunday, July 31, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. and will be presented by the Shelton Historical Society.
In 2006, the LaVerne Moss family established the LaVerne Moss Memorial Jacket Award. This award is in memory of LaVerne Moss, who passed away on August 18, 2005, and in honor of his grandson, Andrew Moss’ many accomplishments in the Hall County 4-H beef program. This award is presented each year to the Hall County Fair Champion Senior Beef Showman. This year, the 2022 Hall County Fair Senior Beef Showmanship Champion was Bailey Codner, of Wood River.
