Spring snow pauses recreational activities

An early spring snow storm passed through the region on Saturday night and early Sunday morning, leaving several inches of heavy, wet snow in its wake. Gusty winds and blowing snow caused the closing of Interstate 80 west of Kearney for quite sometime overnight. Snowfall amounts across Clipper Country ranged from four to eight inches of the white stuff, which saw rapid melting during the day on Sunday and into Monday. Due to all the moisture, many high school outdoor activities were postponed or cancelled at the beginning of the week. (–photo by Steve Glenn)
