Michigan native Christopher Pietrzak has assumed the role of secondary principal beginning this school year at Wood River Rural High School.
Music and movie light up Shelton weekend

The community of Shelton hosted two great evening events last Friday and Saturday with the Shelton Area Lions Club movie night on Friday, and the SPIFFY Day live band on Saturday. The Super Mario Brothers movie (right) was shown in the outfield of the ballfield at Veterans Park, while the SPIFFY Day committee and volunteers hosted live music and raffle drawing the following night. Mohanna with Red Shoes entertained early attendees to the SPIFFY Day event, and The Jessy Karr Band (above) took the stage later in the evening. See more pictures from the events on page 8.
