The community is invited to take part in homecoming activities that are planned at Gibbon High School during the week-long celebration, Monday, September 11 through Saturday, September 16.
Wood River Community Centennial Foundation still giving strong
Five new teachers greeted students at Wood River Public School this school year when classes began on Tuesday, August 15, Amber Wissing, Christian Thompson, Colleen Gunn, Abigail Parlin and Brandon Wamberg.
The City of Gibbon recently received a $25,000 grant from the Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment Fund of the Kearney Area Community Foundation. This grant will play a pivotal role in the realization of the highly anticipated Gibbon Community Center.
Hot summer temperatures reflected the bargains found by shoppers who braved the heat on Friday and Saturday, August 18 and 19, at the Annual Wood River City-Wide Garage Sales.
