Eagle cross country teams record a host of personal records at Ravenna

“We had such a beautiful day of racing,” stated Wood River head cross country coach Matt Cantrell of the Ravenna Invitational on Thursday, September 18, where the Eagle boys finished in sixth place with 73 team points. The Doniphan/ Trumbull boys finished the day in first place with 16 team points. “Last year it was mid-90 degree temperatures at race start, so the difference of 20 degrees made a very noticeable difference,” coach Cantrell continued. “Even though we had great weather, runners still had to contend with the hilly course and a large 25 team meet with several ranked teams and runners.”
