The Shelton cross country runners took on a large field of competitors at the Gibbon Invitational on Thursday, September 4, where the boys finished in fourth place with a team score of 73 among the 11 teams running the course.

The early portion of the season continued for the Gibbon Lady Buffalo golfers with two meets last week, the Doniphan/Trumbull Triangular, held at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island on Tuesday, September 2, and the St. Paul Quad at the St. Paul Golf Course on Thursday, September 4.
Ansley/Litchfield came to Shelton on Tuesday, September 2, for a showdown with the Lady Bulldog volleyball team and left town with a 3-2 win, defeating Shelton in five sets, 21-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21 and 16-14.
A long night on the gridiron resulted in a loss for the Gibbon football team to the visiting Cross County Cougars, 7-46.
