Veterans Day will be observed this year on Tuesday, November 11. In honor of the service men and women who have served or are serving in our Armed Forces, The Clipper proudly presents a poem submitted to our office which was written by Leonard James, of Heartwell.
The Shelton volleyball team defeated Tri County Northeast in straight sets on Saturday afternoon for the district title and punched their ticket to the state volleyball tournament in Lincoln this week. Shelton captured the sixth seed in the state tournament and will face Central Valley Thursday (today) at 3:00 p.m. See more about Saturday’s game on page 6.
Gibbon Board of Ed hears soccer co-op, eight man football comments at monthly meeting
The effort to recall Gibbon mayor Leon Stall took another step forward as recall petition circulators surpassed the needed 240 signatures to trigger the recall. The City of Gibbon and Mayor Stall were served papers on Friday, October 17, notifying them that petition circulators had collected the needed number of signatures to hold a recall vote. The notification set in motion the statutory timeline that now must be followed.
