The filing deadlines for those incumbent and non-incumbent candidates who wish to run for local, state and federal offices in the May 12 primary is nearing.
The Shelton High School Athletic and Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held this Friday night at halftime of the Shelton boys basketball game at the Shelton school. The 1992-93 boys basketball team, 1986 graduate Brad Myers, baseball standout Nathan Wrage, and Shelton school contributor Doug Duncan will all be honored during the ceremony. A Reception for all of the honored athletes and contributor begins at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library and will continue after the halftime ceremony.
The Wood River Methodist Church is sponsoring a Red Cross Bloodmobile at the Wood River Community Center on Wednesday, February 11, running from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. There will be both platelet and double donations accepted.
The Wood River/Shelton Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed on Saturday, February 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Marian Hall at 408 West 11th Street in Wood River.
