With much of the 2026 wrestling season still to come, Wood River senior Jace Martin has reached his 150th win on the mat at the Wood River Duals last Saturday, January 3. At 24 wins and no losses this season, Jace has up to six regular season meets on the schedule and the district and state meet after that. Doug Duncan, former owner of the Shelton Clipper and Gibbon Reporter, passed away July 27, 1994, at the age of 50.

The first and second place winners of the Shelton Area Lions Club annual Christmas Light competition were recently revealed. Taking first place was the home of Greg and Kara Stevens (above) at 614 Phelps Drive. Earning second place honors was the residence of Russ and Connie Pearson at 312 Coady Street. First place and runner-up displays receive $25 and $20, respectively, in Lions Bucks and a one-year subscription to The Clipper.
