Commencement ceremony for Shelton High School Class of 2020 is Saturday

Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for the Shelton High Class of 2020 this Saturday, August 1, at 3:00 p.m. in the Shelton High gymnasium. Each graduate is allowed to invite 15 guests to the ceremony to allow for social distancing protocols. Although the ceremony is not open to the public, it will be streamed live on the school’s YouTube channel. The specific link will be shared on the school’s social media accounts on August 1.

Chi Onate joins Shrine Bowl roster

Gibbon High’s Chi Onate has been named to the roster of high school football players who will be part of the 62nd annual Shrine Bowl of Nebraska game which will take place this Saturday, July 11, at 2:00 p.m. on the University of Nebraska-Kearney campus at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium Foster Field. He will play for the South Team. The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska, Inc., sponsors a football game to recognize the best senior football players and the efforts of great coaches in Nebraska with the goal of raising funds for Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
