Shelton’s Lady Bulldog basketball team was the dominant force in the Silver Lake Holiday Tournament held on Thursday and Friday, December 29 and 30, and became the tournament champions by dismantling Red Cloud in the first round and trouncing Silver Lake in the tournament championship.
Led by 25 points courtesy of Sydney Davis and a stingy defense, the Lady Centurion basketball team slam dunked the Fort Calhoun Lady Pioneers in round one of the Fort Calhoun Blizzard Blowout Holiday Tournament on Thursday, December 29, 57-24. The Centura ladies went on to push around Howells-Dodge, 55-37, in the tournament’s championship round to take the tournament crown.
The Red Cloud and Exeter-Milligan boys basketball teams both fell victim to the Shelton Bulldogs at the Silver Lake Holiday Tournament on Thursday and Friday, December 29 and 30. The Bulldogs put Red Cloud away in the tournament’s first round, 58-42, and then crushed Exeter-Milligan, 53-39, for the tournament crown.
