The Wood River Eagles volleyball team hit up a triangular on Tuesday, October 3, finding two more wins this season at the home of the Shelton Bulldogs by playing Ravenna in the first game and finishing the night with the home Shelton team.
Area teams were the opponents of the Shelton Bulldog volleyball team last week as they hosted a triangular against the Ravenna Bluejays and Wood River Eagles Tuesday, October 3, and hit the road to Kenesaw to face the Blue Devils on Thursday, October 6.
Two Clipper Country teams went up against each other on Tuesday, October 3, during Shelton’s triangular, ending with the fall of the Shelton Bulldogs to the sturdy Wood River Eagles volleyball team.
The Centura cross country teams welcomed LouPlatte Conference foes to the Centura Hills Golf Course in Cairo on Thursday, October 5.
The Wilcox/Hildreth Falcons used scoring in the second half of their home contest with the Shelton Bulldogs to hold off the Bulldogs, 36-31, on Friday, October 6. Shelton head coach Ryan Province and Falcon coach Luke Glenn, a Shelton graduate, have become good friends through their coaching and teaching experiences, which added a fun angle to the game. The players and coaches competed throughout the game, which saw momentum swings from start to finish.
