The Clipper is continuing to collect information on events planned for the annual Shelton Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 4, from those who are planning them. With the sun shining on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, the Wood River City-Wide Garage Sales drew treasure and bargain hunters from across the area to peruse the tables filled with “must have” items. The Greater Grand Island Community Foundation (GGICF) has awarded $47,000 in Greater Impact Grants to 10 Hall County nonprofits, including the Centura Education Foundation (CEF). The Greater Impact Grant Program supports unmet charitable needs and unique programming opportunities that address essential and emerging issues in the community.
“Star Spangled Carnival” was the theme chosen for the Independence Day celebration in Gibbon on Friday, July 4, which will be a day filled with activities throughout.
