Storms blow through the state on Tuesday

After several days of predictions and warnings, a line of storms thundered, flashed and blew through the state causing varying degrees of damage as it passed through. As of Tuesday morning, mostly minor damage was reported across Clipper Country from the high winds that accompanied the storms which moved through quickly in the early morning hours Tuesday and caused problems in the eastern part on the state. Producers readying for spring

Now that the calendar has turned to April, area farmers are beginning to prepare for spring field work. Prior to work getting into full swing, the United States Department of Agriculture (NSDA) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) Cropwatch has released information collected up to the end of March that frames some statistics about crops, drought conditions and more for Nebraska farmers as they return to their fields.
