Gibbon FFA members compete at Career Development Events

Members of the Gibbon High School FFA Chapter traveled to Grand Island for the Career Development Events (CDE) competition on Tuesday, February 25, and will send members to the Nebraska State FFA Convention in Lincoln, April 2 through 4. “I am so proud of the time and work these kids have put in,” said Gibbon FFA sponsor Kealey Widdowson of the chapter members’ efforts. “Way to go Buffs!”

Lady Bulldogs poised to descend on state basketball tournament

“We played really hard from start to finish,” stated Shelton head girls basketball coach Jeff Thober of the team’s dominant 72-22 victory over Hay Springs in the D2-1 District Final at Ogallala on Friday, February 28. “Our defense really got after it and we shot well on offense.” With the win, the Shelton ladies have booked an opportunity to play in the state girls basketball tournament in Lincoln.
